Almond & Cherry or Berry Cake
This delicious almond based cake is a moreish balance of fluffy frangipane sponge, cherries or berries, and almonds. Almonds are very typical in Sicilian cakes and across the Mediterranean, so this is a small tribute to Sicily.
This recipe was actually created from a happy accident 10 years ago, when I was making an Almond & Cherry tart and forgot to make the pastry, before realising too late. In a rush to get it finished, I cooked the filling without its pastry case and it was a hit! Now, it's a firm favourite.

Portion sizes
Our Pantry Cakes are 10" round which gives you approximately 10-12 servings per cake.
Delivery options
We are able to deliver within a 9 mile radius of our kitchen in Dry Drayton. Our delivery days are Tuesday to Saturday.
